Our Classic Glass Soda Siphon - Seltzer Bottle is available once again. These are the heavy glass with metal mesh seltzer bottles you have been looking for. They are brand new, from China, with the same great classic looks you have come to expect. The clear glass siphon bottle has a red fill line and is encased in metal mesh. The protective rubber base prevents chipping the glass or scratching furniture. The collar on the soda siphon is bright chrome and matches the cap and top of the head.

    NOTES

  • There have been reports of fading of the red line on the bottle. The manufacturer does not consider this a defect, however they are working to make it more permanent.
  • This seltzer bottle has a less forceful stream of water than some of the other brands. Carbonation levels are the same as any other soda siphon / seltzer bottle.
  • NEW vs OLD Glass Soda Siphons To properly identify whether you have a NEW or OLD glass siphon:
    1. Compare the pictures of the heads. They are different.
    2. The NEW siphon has a prominent "PK" molded into the bottom of the glass bottle.

    All I need to reactivate a european glass classic is the puncture pin. The new co2 cartridges have a thicker seal and destroyed my old one. All the other parts, seals, etc. are still good. If you can't get replacement pins, is there a European outfit that can supply them?

    Great look but not what we expected
    We were very excited to find a glass mesh bottle. However, after several attempts and a lot of experimentation in ways to charge the bottle (according to instructions and various advice websites) we could not produce seltzer water. What we got was very very slightly fizzy. This was disappointing considering we have had an older glass mesh seltzer bottle in the past that produced great seltzer water. So this new bottle did not meet our expectations. We'll keep looking. We are going to return it.

    cartridge holder, czecoslovakian vintage seltzer bottle
    i look for a cartridge holder for a collectible,"made in czekoslovakia" seltzer bottle, meshed. Rhe BOC cartridge holder is SLIGHTLY smaller than the model needed . Any option except making one here ?

    Directions and Chargers
    I'm not much of a read-the-manual sort of person, but for this soda siphon I highly recommend that you do so. Following the directions in the manual produces satisfyingly fizzy water. The brand of chargers also makes a difference. I tried Liss, Mr. Fizz and isi brands and found Liss and Mr. Fizz to produce the fizziest water.

    It doen't work
    I returned it. The stream is weak, almost no bobbles, it did not empty. Aesthetics are good, but that's the only thing that is good.

    I've used this new siphon twice. It is a big improvement on the original. It's lighter, easier to load, doesn't leak, and squirts out better - two thin streams. It's a fine product.

    I have had a seltzer bottle for years. Formerly they were made in the Czech Republic; but the last bottle I had, had a leak problem that corroded the top, and the bottle had an odd round shape. I thought I would give this bottle, made in China, a try. I love the traditional glass shape; but not to crazy about the siphon, which seems to lack the necessary pressure to produce a consistent stream of charged water.

    My friends have 2 glass seltzer bottles and have dealt with Prairie Moon for years. Now on the purchase of my first bottle, I see why. The bottle was a bit tricky at first to figure out, so I called Praire Moon. They visited with me about what I was doing and what they thought might help. Bingo. I was in business. I love drinking sparkling water at a fraction of the store bought bottled price. Love my new glass seltzer bottle. Love Prairie Moon.

    Happy!
    I had a black siphon and hated that I couldn't tell how much water was in it-- love that this is clear, it's bigger than my last one, and the red fill line makes it fool proof!
