    SodaStream user review
Dang, do these people ship fast - every order I've placed has arrived within 48-72 hours. Nice. Anyhow, most of these flavorings make for PERFECT SodaStream replacements with a simple recipe: using the old 50-serving bottle as a basis, just add 2oz. concentrate (half a sampler bottle), 1.5-tsp Sucralose powder, fill with a few cups of water, cap, shake, serve at the same ratio as SodaStream flavors. Simple, easy, zero-calorie, tasty, and cheap! That said, certain flavors just work better than others, with a few I wouldn't recommend... THE GOOD: Cola, Vanilla Cola, Root Beer, Sarsaparilla, Banana, Grape, Lemon Drop. My favorites, by far, are Cherry Cola and Dr. Rio, both outstanding flavors! THE DECENT: Green Apple, Caramel, and Butterscotch make okay sodas, but are better mixed with colas, sarsaparilla, or root beer for accent. And Cream Soda just wasn't right, but indeed it was at least passable. THE BAD: Chocolate Mint is so overpowering - tasty at first, but gets overpowering fast with a lingerig aftertaste. Nasty on its own, but palatable when you cut it with Dr. Rio. And Mountain Mist just doesn't taste anything like Mt. Dew; smells like it, but even after doubling the flavor-to-water ratio, I just can't save it. Meh, never cared much for Mt. Dew anyhow. Overall, I'm still enjoying the journey, exploring different flavors and how they work as sodas, and am enjoying the journey. Well done, Prairie Moon!

    Novice Soda Maker
I have purchased the syrup concentrates for use in my Soda Stream machine. I use the following formula to make the actual syrup and it is as close to the real soda stream mix as you can get. one empty soda Stream bottle 16 ounce or 500 millilitres two ounces of rio syrup concentrate 1/2 teaspoon of pure sucralose powder which equals 6 cups of sugar. The rest is simply water. Use the soda stream cap or 40 mils of the syrup or about 1.3 ounces for each litre of carbonated water.

    Great flavors
I bought the 12 pack to sample flavors - they were all good, most of them great. One caveat -- I did not follow the directions. I mix by the glass, sweeten with liquid sucralose, and add flavor to taste, so my comments may not apply to mixtures made according to Prairie Moon's directions. Mixing to taste is a hit or miss operation, so I have made one useful observation I can pass on: in most cases, using too much mix just creates a concentrated flavor which is still enjoyable, but I noticed that if the flavor includes citric acid, using too much seems to concentrate the acidic flavor more than the other flavor components and the result is an unpleasant sour taste. So, whatever method of measurement you use, if the result is too sour, try cutting back on the concentrate and you may find the results much more pleasant. My favorite so far is the black licorice – the first I ran out of. The cherry and vanilla colas were both very good but I give the vanilla cola the edge. Pink bubblegum – generically a favorite flavor of mine -- was a bit of a disappointment. It's good but it contains citric acid (I'm not sure why -- the actual gum doesn't strike me as having a sour component) and I haven't been able to find a concentration which produces a great result. With enough sweetener and a light touch it makes a pleasant drink but it only hints at the flavor of bubblegum. Mountain Mist, presumably intended to taste similar to Mountain Dew, doesn't come that close but does make a nice drink. The cherry, black cherry and the maraschino cherry are all good but I like the maraschino cherry the best, at least by itself. The blue raspberry, cream soda, and orange dream were all quite good, though the last one could use more of a cream flavor. Finally, the Chocolate Malted is pretty great -- while chocolate soda is always a bit of a stretch in that it is generally reminiscent of chocolate but doesn't actually taste like eating chocolate, what this brought to mind was an old fashioned chocolate ice-cream soda -- with a scoop or two of ice cream, I suspect the effect would be perfect, but just by itself I find it quite tasty. Great flavors and lots to choose from. (And a special thanks to whoever designed the website for putting a limit on review lengths, not stating the limit up front and not providing any way of knowing how one is doing with respect to the limit – first rate work!)

Sodastream appears to have abandoned their diet line of flavors. Their selection now is miserable. I ran across Prairie Moon products, bought a sample pack, and am not figuring out the ratio of syrup/sweetener. Results so far have been excellent, especially because I can use stevia, which is my preferred sweetener. For their sheer variety and delicious flavors, it’s two thumbs up for me.

Bought the four ounce bottles and mixed it the following way. 1/2 teaspoon of pure sucralose. 2 ounces of syrup concentrate. Used the empty soda stream containers and using the basic formula above, filled them to the top with water. Give a good shake after the top is on. Now measure out the exact same amount as you would with soda stream syrups. Each soda stream bottle makes 12 quarts or litres of soda. Makes excellent soda. Much less expensive than the soda stream syrups you buy in the store.

Ordered the 12 pack, so far The Mountain Mist, the Root Beer, The Blackberry, The Tiger Blood, Sarsaparilla,Peach fizz, all made with Sweat-ta. All good, the Root Beer, Blackberry are great, the Peach Fizz, and Tiger Blood are lite in flavor but good. Good product at a good price, ready to try the other flavors. Great in my Sodastream.

    Solid value in the 12-pack
A few weeks ago, I invested in a 12-pack of concentrates because we were running low. I decided to go with a 12-page to get the most value out of the shipping fee. Some of the flavors I chose were flavors I've ordered in the past and enjoyed. That includes banana, ginger ale, Mountain Mist, Pear, and Pink Bubblegum. However, I ordered several new flavors I'd never tried before as well. If any of the flavors has been disappointing, it has to be the chocolate. While it does taste like chocolate, it comes across in beverages as a very dark and bitter chocolate that doesn't blend well with cherry or anything else I've tried it with so far. I would love a slightly milder, milk-chocolate version of this flavor. Cinnamon, on the other hand, is a superstar in terms of mixing it with other flavors. I've been pleased with how it tastes when blended with cola, apple, and pear flavors. While I'm sure it would be good on its own, I almost prefer to blend it with other flavors to make the bottle of concentrate last longer. Cinnamon is a huge winner! Green Apple tastes as expected, and is great, but I've only used it in combination with cinnamon thus far. Kiwi words great in combination with strawberry, and also works well if you do a 2-1-1 mix of cola, kiwi, and strawberry, or in a combination of Mountain Mist, kiwi and strawberry in the same proportions. Lime's a huge winner, either on its own or with cola. Orange is... well, it's orange. I've never encountered a great orange flavor. It's almost generic, to me. Even so, it works well in a 1-1 proportion with Mountain Mist. Sour grape isn't as good as I'd hoped; it works well with Mountain Mist (anyone remember Mountain Dew Black?) but on it's own, sour grape isn't that sour, or that grape-y. That's one area where Prairie Moon could really stand some improvement: their Sour flavors are very few, and not that well-formulated. I would live to see them vastly improve and then expand their list of sour flavors. That covers it. A mostly-satisfying shipment with only a couple clunkers that I probably won't reorder (chocolate and sour grape). But hey, that's why you try new things... to learn what works and what doesn't, for your own taste buds.

    Great flavors
Ordered the 12 pack, 6 days to Canada, no problems. Used with a sugar based syrup recipe for Soda Stream. The flavors I chose: Blue Raspberry, Blackberry, Grape, Red Raspberry - SPECTACULAR. Cherry Cola, Vanilla Cola, Root Beer all very good. Tangerine was mostly Orange but good. Strawberry is a bit off but ok. Black Cherry smells like a dollar store, YMMV. Blueberry didn't taste much like anything to me but not horrible. Butterscotch was dark with a root beer quality to it. Ok but not for me. (Warning to Soda Stream users, Grape seriously foams when added to carbonated water. Pour very slow over a sink. A+ flavor though.) Overall, excellent products that make great store bought quality soda. I'll be back.

I have been using your cola syrup for about 2 years now as an alternative to Soda Stream products. I use Stevia to sweeten it. I buy it in bulk. I also add a little bit of Splenda. I am trying to use more natural sweeteners. I like the cola; however, wish it had a more "cola nut" taste to it like Pepsi used to. Other than that super product and decent price.

Found these syrup concentrates to be an excellent alternative to the discontinued and now returned but even more expensive soda stream syrups, we ordered a variety pack to try and thought they were all good, {we go through a lot of cola}, personally my favorites were #1 the Sarsaparilla, #2 the cream soda, and #3 the cola, and especially liked that they can be made as diet versions by simply using sugar substitutes instead of sugar. By the way for any one with a soda stream an easy way to make syrup for it is simply double the measurements for the quarts or, 5 cups sugar substitute mixed into a quart jar filled 1/2 with water stirring as you mix in each cup so it desolves, then add 2oz of concentrate of your choice and then top the jar up to the full quart with water, to use carbonate your liter bottle of water, chilled in the frig first works best and helps keep the bottle from foaming over when adding the syrup, then add 3oz of your syrup mix, pouring slowly and stopping often to let the fizz up subside, and it will fit perfectly into the standard soda stream bottle. Hope this helps. This is a great product and we have already ordered our favorites in the gallon size so we can keep a supply on hand. Thanks!

Not at all what I expected
Purchased a 12-pack of assorted flavors. Tried Mountain Mist, Orange and Sarsaparilla. Made syrup concentrates with both Splenda and sugar. Didn't find any of them even remotely palatable. Candidly, they were down right awful. Returned the remaining 9 flavors for a refund and disposed of the three we had tried. Do not plan to order again.

These flavors are great. I use 3 cups of Spiriva sweetener to 20oz of water. Makes a zero calorie drink. I carbonate the black top (large) bottle using the soda stream maker and 1 1/2oz to 2oz of syrup mixture to make a great tasting drink. I didn't care for the pink grapefruit and the root beer flavors. Not because of the flavor but I just don't like root beer and pink grapefruit taste.

I have had a daily Rum and Cola for at least the last 20 years. About 10 years ago I developed type 2 diabetes. I had always used "diet cola" in my drink. When I discovered stevia I wanted to use it to make my own diet cola. I found your concentrate and have been using it ever since. I find it tastes like Kik Cola from my childhood days

We have had time to try about four of the flavors we got in our 12 pack. By far, this is the best way to use our Sodastream. We like being able to make just one glass of soda at a time, and to adjust the amount of syrup to our own tastes. Absolutely excellent. We're keeping track of which flavors we like best, and will reorder, probably time and time again.

    Some great some not
Cola, ginger ale, root beer, orange, lime, lemon lime, cream soda, orange cream, bubble gum are all quite good at 4 stars. I would give 5 stars except they need to be mixed stronger than the instructions in every case so RIO or Prairie Moon should make them stronger or change the recipe or sell a larger bottle for the same price etc. I use 1 ounce of concentrate in about 24 ounces of syrup NOT 32 ounces. The Key Lime is terrible and tastes more like coconut than anything lime. Also disappointing although not as badly are mountain mist, blue raspberry, sour pink lemonade. Vanilla was good but I prefer buying artificial vanilla by the gallon at my local National Grocers store. I like it better and it is reasonably priced. I tried two different bottles of real vanilla, both were terrible for making soda!

    Mostly fantastic flavors!
I love this place, because I use a sodastream soda maker and I love it. I don't like paying high price for high sugared flavors (avoiding high fructose corn syrup as much as I can) that ultimately do my body harm, so I came here to test out some of their flavors. With so many different flavors to choose from, I get excited about what I get to put into my soda next. Most of these are really easy to mix with others, to make even more flavor combinations. I have done Vanilla + Cinnamon with great success and the Cream Soda + Lemon Drop or Apricot is another set of favorites. So far I have found several that I don't particularly like, but I know I have personal taste preferences and by trying new things I'm finding the ones I like best. Vanilla is a staple in my house, we always have a jug of it. The Cola isn't really a favorite, nor is the Margarita or the Red Apple, but they can be mixed and are fun to have sometimes. They suggest using 2 1/2 cups of sugar to 20 oz of water to 2 tbsp. of flavoring and I've found that I can easily go down to 2 cups sugar without a noticeable difference. I don't like to short the flavoring though because that's pretty important to making the flavor taste great. I also substituted Splenda once to see how that worked and it went pretty well. The Splenda blend makes a little less syrup so you have to lower the amount you put into the drink or you have a *REALLY* sweet soda. Over all I think these are great and I have found myself returning again and again to buy more.

I bought a 12 pack of various flavor concentrates and both my husband and I hated them all. After trying them once we threw all of them out. The flavored weren't accurate, forget accurate, even tastey!! I tried two simple syrup recipes; the one listed in the site, and my own staple recipe, and mine helped but still didn't make the flavors drinkable when mixed with carbonated water. GROSS!

    Great favors
I use the syrups for soda, using a full size CO2 tank for carbonation (a little more up front than Sodastream, but a big savings over time.)I ordered a 12 pack, and after making and tasting four of the syrups (I made the full gallons b/c its easier)I ordered another 12. The flavors taste great, with no aftertaste. The only thing I do different is add a tiny bit of citric acid to some flavors. Definitely go with the concentrate, not the syrup - easy and far cheaper.

Perfect solution to high cost of sodastream
I recently ordered 12 flavors of concentrated syrup and made my own flavorings for sodastream soda. So far I've only tried Cola, Root beer, Cream soda and Black Cherry, but I am very happy! They taste very good, as good or better than anything on the market. The best part is you can make the soda flavorings with cane sugar or your favorite sweetener, and you can't beat the price.
